Inlay and onlay are large fillings which are made in two appointments and involve our laboratory. These lab-made fillings provide increased strength and longivity of the restoration, better esthetics, better anatomy, better fit, better seal of the margin between the filling and your natural tooth, and better contact with the adjacent tooth.
In the first appointment we will clean the decay, prepare the teeth, take impression and desensitize. You will leave the office with a temporary restoration. A week later in a second appointment we place the inlay on the prepared tooth.
Can you tell where is the margin between the natural tooth and this onlay "after" photo? Can't do it with Cerec. Definitely CAN with our dentists and premium lab artists.
